I was going to say this atmosphere simulation topic is getting abit out of hand, but this seems to be quite a different setup :D

Looks odd with the offset water to the glass. Was this effect intended or by accident?

No, it wasn't intended. That's what happen when some genius in blender dev decide that it's good idea to select and move with same mouse button. In a piece of software where you can't even group objects.

Ok, I moved water back in place and arc disappeared :) It was glass out of place, so I moved them both closer to wall and arc reappeared.

Also, it's not circumzenithal arc, it's circumhorizontal.
Circumzenithal would be on the floor if glass lighted from it's side.
