pixel_peeper wrote: Mon Jan 27, 2020 4:46 pm at the moment the only thing that I'm unable to control properly is the color, if I change the scattering color I can't predict the color as I expect, if I use the absorption color the whole domain has this color, like an overlay. Myabe I should tune the absorption depth?

If someone cares, this is the final still (colored in post, I have more control), in the next days (or weeks  ) I'll render the animation. The heterogeneous volume is slow but very accurate, especially compared with the Principled Volume of Cycles. With manual step size and OIDN is possible to get something good in a very reasonable amount of time.
