A baking test scene

Post by Dade »

Is there a good soul who can convert the BlenderGuru's "Lounge Room scene" to BlendLuxCore ?

This is the link to the page https://www.blenderguru.com/tutorials/i ... ing-cycles and this to the scene https://s3.amazonaws.com/ezs3ac34a26aa3 ... Room.blend

I'm working on baking support and I was looking for a good test scene: something simple but good looking, with all UV unwrapped, etc.

I'm happy to try and do this but I'm sure that there are users that can make a far better version of it than myself.

Anyway.....I've started :D

A bit of early progress. Is it the sort of thing that you are looking for? ( the bean bag has quite a way to go)

Also, is it possible to have multiple UVs in 2.8 yet? because the original version is using multiple UVs in many of the objects.

Thanks

just tested, in cycles everything works, in blendluxcore no.

2d mappig node responds to a UVmap change, but neither the viewport nor the renderer reacts to it.

Hi zuljin3d

Yes, it will be possible to bake even caustics (i.e. light tracing baking, quite exotic stuff) once I have written the support. The baking process is just a different type of rendering. At the moment, it is a new render engine (i.e. BAKECPU), capable to render all the bake image maps required.

I'm afraid B.Y.O.B. has not yet added the support to BlendLuxCore. Feel free to remove some object from the scene if it is a problem, I just need something plausible to test the new code.

That's good news ;)
I'm just popping out for a few hours and will try to finish it later today, or tomorrow. :)
