Snow globe

Post by Racleborg »

For creating a scene such as a ‘Snow globe’ what sort of Total Path Path Depth(Gloss,Diff, Spec) settings should be used to ensure that the objects inside the globe are clear(in an animation, if that makes any difference to the requirements) ? Also, is Path Opencl suitablefor this type of scene or should BIDI be used? Many thanks

If i've to make a choice i will go for something like :

Max path deph == 16 or 24

but if performance is an issue as it is always the case in animation. i will go for :

Max path deph == 8 or 12

and use hybrid glass to make it efficient to render.

Thank you, I'll give those settings a try. :)
