Tomorrow I will merge the 2.80 branch into master and there will be a release of v2.2beta3 with packages for Blender 2.79 and 2.80.
The 2.80 release will be experimental and not production ready. I'll create a list with the known issues for you.
That's great news!
The 2.8 port looks so promising!
Thank you for your work.

Great! Will there be a 2.80 build for Linux as well?
Not for now. Quote from the release text:
Unfortunately, due to the complicated setup required to create a 2.80 build of our addon, we only offer a build for 64bit Windows with OpenCL. The future final release of the 2.80 port will of course be built for Windows and Linux again (and maybe macOS).
For a Linux build you need to compile LuxCore against Python 3.7 (the same version Blender 2.80 uses) and package it with BlendLuxCore's latest master.

You can try to download the .zip for Windows and replace the .dll/.exe with Linux LuxCore v2.3beta3 executable and .so files. In the past was possible to mix mismatching python versions on Linux. It may or may not work (i.e. use at your own risk, a crash is very likely).
