Post by jorari71 »

How to create a glow effect with LuxCore?.
Any tutorial?.
I'm a newbye at LuxCore and I woulkd loveto see if I can do that easier than with Blender.
By the way, I've seen that the exporting time has been reduced significatuvely, this is a very good new.
Thanks in advance.

I assume the "bloom" effect you see listed in the above screenshot is what you are looking for.

thank you very much...Now I know a bit more of LuxCore...But Let me tell you that I don't like that all the filter be applied to the whole image. When I was a Corona user with 3DSMAX I see the bloom effect applied only to the source light and this was PERFECT.
I think that this is not what I'm looking for or maybe there's some trick to limit the effect TO THE LIGHT SOURCES.
Hence, is there some trick to limit the effect to the light sources ?
Thank you.
P.S.: here 's my test (I decided to take to the limits this effect trying to see some research)

Yes, a threshold might be good.
You can also use Blender's bloom filters in the compositor, e.g. this one: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/ ... fog%20glow
Some of them have a threshold, or you can use LuxCore's emission AOV as input to only have light sources create glow.
