And I could not refrain my self :mrgreen:

Introduction

LuxCoreRender project is now available on BountySource.  It is a funding platform for open-source software. Users can improve the open-source projects they love by creating/collecting bounties and pledging to fundraisers. Check the BountySource FAQ for more information.

Salts

Salts are one time donation or recurring donations and can be done here. It is the most stable and solid way to support the project in the long run.

Bounties

Bounties are a cash reward offered for development. In the case of BountySource, this ties directly to an open issue in the system at GitHub LuxCoreRender project page. Once you have created an issue on GitHub, you can create a bounty on BountySource to attract the attention of a developer. Several people can put bounties on the same issue in order to make the topic more attractive. Anyone is free to contribute and can hunt bounties, not just the core development team. This is intended to promote and increase the number of developers working on LuxCoreRender.

For instance, Mac user could create a bounty for a MacOS version of LuxCoreRender binaries. By gathering some attention around the bounty and putting more bounties on the same issue, it may finally possible to find a MacOS developer.

Feel free to post on our forums if you need to ask for help in bounty creation, attract more attention on a bounty, etc.

Donor rewards

In order to reward people supporting the project with donations, we have decided to grant them a new forum Rank (i.e. a colored name and an the icon Image under the name) and access to the private developers forum. Because:

1) You can develop the project in many ways, by writing code, tutorials, etc. and donation is just another way. A donor is just a developer with "other means";

2) The private developers forum is the place were we discuss if/how/when spend the money received as donations. So, if you are a donor, you are entitled to know and express your opinion about what it is done.

Donor rank rules

In order to be eligible for the new rank, you need:

1) An active recurring monthly donation of 5$ or more (anything less is a donation to PayPal/BountySource, not to this project).

2) One time donation of 50$ or more.

3) The topics discussed in private developers forum are usually there for a reason so the should be discussed only there. Follow the forum rules and etiquette (or you will be kicked out, no matter what).

Donor rank access

If you are eligible for the new rank, send me a forum Private Message with your BountySource name and I will promote you.
