Sketchup Python API

Post by nigec » Sat Mar 16, 2019 9:00 am

Martijn Berger has done Sketchup bindings for Python, he did a Sketchup to Blender plugin but maybe it could be used for a Luxcore plugin?
https://github.com/martijnberger/pyslapi

Sadly he seems to have gone AWOL so the Blender plugin doesn't work with 2.79b (Python version)

Need to build from source or use prebuilt release: https://github.com/martijnberger/pyslapi/releases
sketchup_importer_0.18 works fine, but only with SU file versions up to 2017

I don't have the SU SDK, I requested it but like a lot of people I never got a reply
I use it all the time, works well but I find exporting as Sketchup 2016 more reliable
