It would be possible to develop a LuxCore shape like that (i.e. like displacement, etc.) to pre-process geometries however it would be a bit cumbersome without seeing the end result directly in Blender wire-frame view-port.

I agree with Dade, could be implemented as a shape, but would make much more sense as a Blender addon, if it can be done in a way with good performance (e.g. C++ module with Python bindings for the heavy work).
