Crash with OpenCL

Post by david57 »

Blender is still crashing on me.
I just now checked to see if error messages in the terminal but there are none while the file is loaded.
I noticed when I clicked the render button it started to write info on the System Console but I could not read it out.
I was to fast and then it crashed.

Could you start blender from command line?
You can open a command line interface with WINDOWS KEY + R and then type "cmd" and hit enter.
In the Terminal window you could switch to the installation folder of blender , e.g. "C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender", and start with "blender.exe". When blender crashes then, the terminal window should stay open and you could post the output before the crash.

To be sure, I'm not talking of PATHCPU but of PATHOCL with the AMD OpenCL CPU device, does it work ? You may want also try to run a test with a single GPU to check if the problem is related to the usage of 2 GPUs.

If you have a test scene that always crashes for you and you can post, I can try if here it works.

Ok, having trouble understanding about PATHCPU and PATHOCL. What do they mean?
My CPU is an Intel i7-6700K CPU@ 4.00GHz and not an AMD.

Unable to use just one GPU. How do I use just one of them?
