system hangs when GPU rendering material

when rendering this stuff on the GPU my computer freezes.

I cannot finish the project because of this.

You mean the whole OS becomes unresponsive? Can you describe it in more detail?
This usually hints to a problem in the GPU driver or OS itself. A mere user-executed program like LuxCore doesn't have the power to freeze the whole OS. You could try to update your drivers.

Looks fine on my side, using latest BLC 2.5b1 on B 2.91

The problem was hidden in the AMDGPU-PRO Linux driver.
I couldn't make it work by any effort.
On Windows, the AMD driver completed the task without error.
