Translucent shading problem

Post by Egert_Kanep »

The problem I am facing is with using external volumes with translucent materials. I start a new scene in Blender, assign matte translucent material, world volume is default, camera is on auto-detect volume. I hit render and get expected result. Now when I create external volume for air (clear volume, priority 0, ior 1) either manually or automatically, my rendered image looks drastically different and does not resemble translucent behavior anymore.

Anyone else experiencing this kind of problem?
