Rebuilding old scenes
Iv'e noticed that if I use an old scene with the recent Beta then I can get problems like crashing, materials that appear to be disconnecting themselves and a generally sluggish feel. But if I either create a new scene or delete and rebuild the materials from the old scene, then the new Luxcore rocks! Really rocks!
Re: Rebuilding old scenes
Can you upload such an old scene for me so I can test it?
Crashes/sluggish feel should not happen.
We had to change some node sockets during the various alpha/beta releases.
There is compatibility code that tries to convert old nodes to new ones, but it is not perfect in some situations: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/BlendL ... ibility.py
That's why it is called alpha/beta, to indicate an unstable version.
You can only expect the software to work completely correct when transferring a scene from one stable release to the other (e.g. v2.0 to v2.1 in the future).

Re: Rebuilding old scenes
The scene is that Shader Ball.
The materials kept needing to be taken from the material output node and put back in in order to fix the fact that they had stopped working.
I'm not looking to transfer old scenes, it was just an observation.
I think the work that you are doing is terrific. Thank you.
