weighted normal modifier not working

Hi. I am using a weighted normal modifier in my mesh in order to avoid the broken reflections of the mesh. I can see it works in the viewport, but not in the render. I am using lux 2.5 If this is not supported I will proceed to model the mesh only with quads and subdivision modifier. I was trying to avoid complex topology since its just a flat plane with thickness and bevel edges.

Thank you

I don't know about weighted normal modifier but sharp edge modifier should do the trick.

What Blender version are you using? Custom normals are not yet supported in Blender 2.90.

Do you mean luxcore and blender 2.9 ? Cause I tried and works in cycles.
