Very long loading in preview mode

Hello to all. I am using 2.8.4 version of Blender and 2.4 version of render. The problem is that even the cube preview in the default scene takes about five minutes to load. GPU render (1080 Ti, Win 10). Tell me what am I doing wrong?

That should be the kernel compiling. It's supposed to happen only once in 2.4

Although I did have it happen again on occasion. Definitely not all the time, though.
The files are stored in some temp folder which I think gets deleted sometimes. It should let us define a folder where to put them maybe?

Check if the following directories are empty or deleted at each reboot:

C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\cuda_kernel_cache
C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\ocl_kernel_cache

Maybe you are using a program that deletes the temp folder, like some "computer cleanup" utilities?
