Any ideas about good pixel filter values?

I noticed that for animation 2px are smoother than 1.5 but not sure about possible drawbacks. Is there a prefered pixel filter size to optimize rendering?

From my observations, for animations it's Gaussian @ 2px.

Hm.. Yes, it seems 2 is good amount of filtering for anims.
