It sounds like the some problem described here: https://github.com/LuxCoreRender/LuxCore/issues/257

I'm going to check.

PetrT, are you using the v2.2 too or a daily build ?

In daily builds, I also have problems.(on cpu)
There are no problems in the viewport (brightness is good)
But when rendering, the result is bad. (Everything is much darker than in viewport)

PS:In version 2.2, everything is fine.

I have the feeling the problem may be in BlendLuxCore because if I export the scene and do the rendering outside Blender, I seem to get the correct output. A comparison between, inside and outside Blender rendering:

comp.jpg

Note: the viewport pre-view disables PhotonGI and Env. light cache in order to have a fast start so some difference may be even expected.

Overall, the Blender color management looks a bit strange, the default gamma seem 1.0 instead of the ubiquitous 2.2 :?:

B.Y.O.B. has to look into this problem but, unfortunately, he had some problem with his ISP and is unable to access the forums since Monday so this may take some time.

Blender 2.81, using ACES, CPU vs OCL shows the difference in Sky intensity :?

PS
Same result with RTpath preview:

My first hypothesis should be right, I fixed the above bug and now the view port and final render outputs look the same to me. The automatic build should be ready in about 3 ours, can you check if it work for you ?
