Why is this happening to my volumetric lighting i have using cube around my scene?

It's difficult to say what it is. Upload a simple scene showing the problem so we can have a look.

I can confirm having seen the same effect just this week (but I don't know if it is new).
Edit: made a simple scene to show the error. Consists of only a laser and homogeneous world volume. there are two cameras, perspective and ortho, rotating around the origin, so you can sue the timeline to scan the angles. It seems more pronounced in Ortho view. Maybe it is some trigonometry error?

same glitch in 2.1 to latest nightly build hopefully dade fixes this fast it ruins my whole indoor scene

holy crap it literally does not matter what i do to scene it still always has stupid band and glitched lighting

seems to only be a sun lamp problem
