OiDN Scene Format

Post by Fox »

When enabling OiDN, there are some changes in scene file.
Like Albedo and Shading normal, for what are this?
Also see the image below, what imagepipeline is connected to what film output and where one ends and another starts?

Left no OiDN, right with OiDN

Avg. Shading Normal and Albedo are feature AOVs that provide additional information to the denoiser, to improve the denoised result.
Imagepipeline 1 produces the denoised output (contains the "INTEL_OIDN" plugin). The denoised output is output 4 (you can see this because it has index 1, meaning imagepipeline index 1).
