There's no "Refraction" pass in Luxcore.

Post by jfcalcena »

Hello guys. I'm new user of Luxcore and I'd installed the new stable version 2.4 in my Blender 2.83.3 LTS, and I have a question.

- I saw in the Passes tab, there is no option for Refraction. That's right? Or am I wrong? See the attached image that has nothing like the (Transmission from Cycles Render), which is the equivalent of Refraction. All others renderers like Corona, Redshift or Octane, uses the Refraction passes as alternative. If exist this Refraction pass, please, let me know.

Thanks guys for your hard work!

Cheers!

I also need this implementation, I work with many bottles. It is important for post production in Photoshop.

Glass materials will end up in the "Indirect Specular" AOV.
Rough glass ends up in the "Indirect Glossy" AOV.

However, these AOVs contain the sum of refractions and reflections in these cases, as well as other specular and glossy materials like mirror or metal.

AFAIK there's currently no way to extract a pure refraction AOV from LuxCore.
