Displacement explosion

Why does the cube explode? It has something to do with the uv?

Set the gamma of the image to 1.0,
and adjust remap and offset parameter.

The offset parameter is there to avoid that problem: looking at your nodes, I assume you should use an offset of -0.7 (half way between 0.4 and 1.0). Or you can adjust your Remap targets as SlowHand wrote.

SlowHand and Dade thanks for the quick reply, i just set the offset to -0.05 and it worked.
