I share with you a quite long render:

(Sorry for the low quality, you can imagine that it takes quite a while to render ...)

It is just an array of spheres, immersed in volume, hit by a laser.

Wonderfull effect on the still. Like it a lot. How much for the render time on which hardware. Clear it is BIDIR engine.

I don't have precise stats... like one day for the big one, some hours for the second one on an core i7 (like 6th gen...).
