Maxime residence

Post by janmorek »

A few months ago I made a visualization of the building in Blender, using Octane engine for rendering. you can find it here :

These days I´m playing with Luxcore engine. Here you can see some very WIP results. I spent maybe 6-7 hours with Luxcore, so I think it should be even better. However, I really like the realistic feeling of the images.

What do you think?

I think it's a good start.
Absence of vegetation bring down the overall quality comparing the Octane results but as WIP I think it's really good.

Speaking about images, I've instantly seen a problem.
Pay attention to that triangles that go from a corner to the holes on the ceiling.
As in the Octane version this is not visible it seems that model is fine...so probably some Luxcore mesh management or something related to that "damned" epsilon setting...

Background seems to be closer to the camera than the building in the bottom image .

Thumbnails look great! But on opening there is a lot of details missing and the whole background is just not fitting well. There's also the notorious shading artifact from opencl on the ceiling. For some reason, luxcore can't handle long triangles on opencl.
