Thanks guys...

I'm rendering final views now, should be 8 renders. So I hope before new year comes I'll post link to final render thread and behance project...
I just want to say that while in another thread I mentioned having great problems/slowdown using adaptivity, in this project it actually seems to be pretty helpful... Sadly, I don't know what's different but now it gives a nice boost it seems.

Rendertimes are good, for an outdated hw(hopefuly replaced soon, and even more hopefuly I'll see luxcore on a commercial renderfarm)
4770K+GTX1060 is roughly 2hrs per 4K render, clean enough for Nvidia denoiser, I'd get +/- the same rendertime from cycles but I would have to use simplify AO.

I'm actually probably going to start using luxcore for most of work as I'm more or less confident with it now. Let us pray that GI caching isn't too far in the future...

Agreed. I really like the weathered look of the leather.
Let's wait for the final shots until we pick some for the gallery :)

I'm working on a scene simultaneously building it for cycles(cause 2.8 is fun!) and then porting it to luxcore where I plan to make final renders...
But among many issues I struggle with in 2.79 and luxcore, I also found an issue that I mentioned on these forums a while back.

It's darkening on shaders at grazing angles, an issue that was some time ago also present in corona. It is not present with cycles. Can this be fixed with current shaders or will this be fixed in the future? It looks terribly.

Yes, the problem is only appearing on glossy material
