Graswald and The Grove - Creating Lux Materials

Post by CEROE »

Using the textures that come with Graswald and The Grove, I created Lux materials. The process is really simple.

I believe it was around 32 min using OpenCL on a Threadripper 2950x and RTX-2080

That seem fair. Wonder why you don't use CUDA instead of opencl in addon preferences.

Did some tests and don't see any difference between CUDA or OpenCl on my machine.

Blender 2.83 and LuxCoreRender 2.4

I've been testing at just 50 samples to any differences. Maybe that is why. The time differences were from 5:35 to 5:45, so longer renders would be noticeable.

I was focused on the the look of the materials and not much on render optimizations. ;)

v2.5 has RTX support, it should make a large difference in a scene like this with your RTX 2080.
