Hello!
I started working on this scene under Luxrender 1.7 but moved it to the 2.0 alpha builds as soon as I got access. I can say for sure that the new Lux is much faster on CPUs, although I didn't take the time to collect exact figures. I don't really like how the render came out, so I am open to suggestions if you have any.
Render Settings:
Path OpenCL with 8 bounces
2500 samples per pixel
GPU: Titan Z (2 GPUs, 5760 cores @ 1.1 GHz)

Re: Shop Front Scene
It's a nice image.
Maybe you can leave more space between the vegetation and the table in order for the area the table and chairs are to be more visible.
Also you could make the brick texture around the windows more realistic(maybe choose a better texture, use some displacement if you are not using).
Keep up the good work.
