Dade wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2018 3:57 pm Have you tried if it is material related ? I mean the walls are made of "glossy" (something not very common), have you tried if there is the same difference with "matte" ?
I see that the problem continue. i hope you can see the difference with the noisy output. btw my glossy was a really rough with bump on it.

I've downloaded it and I have a question: is it correct that the scene has materials assigned but the node tree is empty?

Like i forget to pack external data into blend file. but don't worry the final project files is intended to be release as a free Luxcore example scene. ;)

Make sure you are using 2.79a Release Candidate or (on Linux) a recent buildbot build.

Alpha 4.0 test . first thoughts :

*** A beast is borning***

___ The engine is fast effecient and more precise. there is improvement also on the clamping side in the Alpha 3 setting down my clamp value to value under 20 start to wash out color and details while giving a flat lighting result. now in Alpha 4 i can go down to 10 and preserve quality.

___ The amazing part come from sobol. Now Sobol is the new king in interior rendering. the combining effect of VDS (aka portals without portals) and CBAS (convergence base adaptative sampling) on sobol in opencl mod is IMPRESSIVE. path_Sobol beat bidir+path_metro :o !

___ Thanks you Dade for theses effort i wish you and the Luxcore team to never give up and continue to improve. Seriously well done.

I just tested this scene with the Bidir setting + the settings you have already and has been crashing.
