Why metropolis with opencl ?
It is slower in GPU. Sobol is the way to go.

Sobol is ugly and should never be used. Also, I've heard there's way to do bidir with GPU and I think that's the right way to go.
As for speed, I just tried and it's basically the same for this one.

UUHHH  What ?

Your scene is simple. with large opening allowing sun to easily enter there is another windows in front. You also have simple shader no glass or volumetric involved. And metropolis is bad on GPU.

What do you mean ?

I don't understand that either :o

Could you post a side-by-side comparison - or have you just done that? They look totally different?

Thanks

Nope. I didn't intend to discuss this.

I like this one better than the first version which had too much direct light in the foreground for my taste.

But still this version is my favourite.
It seems like a simple thing but the reflections add layers of interesting complexity.

That wasn't scene though, just window test :) The room itself is empty.

I think this is the final version, there will be an animation.

Nicely done. Especially the bed and the windows. Did you try tone mapper Reinhard? Maybe you can make the room brighter while keeping look through open windows as is.
