Really interesting, but I don' t understand why there is a missing reflection on the sphere maybe you used a small depth?Or needed more samples?
the same about the weird light stripes. Those seem to appear out of nowhere? Or there might be a light I'm missing.

I should have the geometry to "smooth" on the cylinder... I will try to upload a more cleaner version of this as all these details kinf of hide the "color monolith" at the center !
