It seems that Vega20 is the best GPU for LuxCore at the moment. Too bad ATI discontinued them.
Do you expect when CUDA is implemented in the next version of LuxCore, 2080TI(CUDA) would perform faster than Vega20(OpenCL)?

Re: Performance Radeon Pro vs Nvidia RTX
Interesting, I wasn't aware Apple doesn't support CUDA and OpenCL. Shame... I thought with Thunderbolt 3 and eGPU finally MACs could be used for rendering. Video editing software like DaVinci Resolve can be accelerated on MAC with eGPU. I've always assumed Resolve uses OpenCL. According to Tom's Har...

Re: Performance Radeon Pro vs Nvidia RTX
Well, it doesn't say but I assume the Cycles test is done with CUDA.
How do you expect Radeon Pro WX 9100 would perform compared to 2080TI?
That's interesting for the MAC version since Apple doesn't support Nvidia GPUs.

Performance Radeon Pro vs Nvidia RTX
I came across some benchmarks on www.cgchannel.com from 2019
Radeon Pro WX8200 performs twice better with Cycles and twice worse with LuxCore. I wonder why is that?
Why Radeon Pro performs so miserably with LuxCore?

Problem with Bump (possible bug)
In the first example (Bump01.jpg), the bump texture is applied to the Mix Material. The bump effect is very pronounced and easy to see. In the second example (Bump02.jpg), the bump texture is applied to the white sub material (the white circle). The same texture now appears very subtle, almost invis...

Brushed bump effect with a procedural texture
I am trying to create a brushed surface with a bump texture on a ring. The way I would normally do that in Cycles is by using procedural Noise texture and rotating it with Texture Mapping coordinates. Please see the attached screenshot. Is there a way to do something similar in LuxCore? I could just...

Re: Separate environment maps for reflections and lighting
Thank you B.Y.O.B.! That worked. There is another problem - the scene reflections are very dark because the map-sphere is lit only by the bounced light. I tried compensating this with the material "emission", however, this messes up my scene lighting. Is there a way to render the map-spher...

Re: Separate environment maps for reflections and lighting
Dade, thank you very much for the prompt response! Using a map sphere sounds like a really good idea. I am new to LuxCore. Could you please explain how to turn off the sphere shadow and make it transparent to infinite light? The only option in the Object properties I see is "visible to camera&q...

Separate environment maps for reflections and lighting
Is it possible to use two different environment maps - one for lighting (HDRI) and one for reflections (JPG)? The same file (HDR image) seldom works well for both. Alternatively is it possible to limit the LuxCore environment to affect only the reflections and use only lights for the scene lighting?...
