Re: How do I turn off the shadow?

Edit: Looks like I was wrong, learn something new every day. From the websites landing page: LuxCoreRender is a physically based and unbiased rendering engine. Based on state of the art algorithms, LuxCoreRender simulates the flow of light according to physical equations, thus producing realistic im...

Re: Air bubbles inside liquid

Hi, What’s the correct way to create air bubbles inside liquid? Right now I’ve got the normals of the air bubble meshes inverted inside the liquid mesh, but it looks odd. Maybe the right way is to not invert the air bubble normals, but assign a separate material with an IOR of 1.0 to it? Thanks in ...

Re: New jewelry animation with Luxcore 2.3

A really nicely done animation, congratulations!

I did find watching it at 2x speed gave the animation a more fluid feel :)

Re: Caustics by Imagemap bumps

A tip, try scale your scene to a realistic size, your scene would be 100's of meters large if it were real, that's why you needed a noise size of 50 instead of 1, as well as the spot lamp you used being 1 million lumens! Press 'CTRL-A', 'S', '0.01', 'ENTER' and then change the noise size and lumens ...

Re: render freezes while opencl kernels are being compiled, luxcore v2.3

If you dont have anything valuable to offer, just dont reply at all ok? This is what OP is talking about, and I have the exact same issue (attached file): How to proceed? It is NOT a driver issue. Maybe post your console output from Blender, it will show where the export/compilation is getting stuc...

Re: Nintendo SNES

Here is a link to the .blend
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnYenLI8umY-k5k7nyYkGD_UQr8Zng

I was using the Intel OIDN, the render time was set for 3min on two GTX970's.

Using CUDA build as well.

The rest of the settings + HDRi are in the .blend

Re: Nintendo SNES

A quite nice model, but those render times are quite high?

Here's a render of the same model 1080p. Stylised towards a older film look. That took 6 minutes on a GTX 970

Re: What is differance?

I would assume that
- Win-64 is CPU only and doesn't require OpenCL or CUDA installed
- Win-64-OpenCL is CPU and OpenCL, and wouldn't require CUDA installed
- Win-64-Cuda is CPU, OpenCL and Cuda and requires CUDA drivers installed.

Re: BlendLuxCore Development

Hey! Potential feature request. Would it be possible to have an option to convert Cycles nodes to Lux nodes? Not at render time, but either across the scene or for a material? Often I end up remaking materials from scratch, but it would be nice to have the translation attempt, as well as the colour...
