Trying to get rid of fairflies, need advice.

Hi. I am working with a scene I already shared many times in the forum. I realize it was a bit optimistic from my side to start using lux with these types of scenes. I am already in the dance...so too late to not finish. After feeding 100 bounces in the path depth properties...I manage to get a clea...

Re: Darkness in transparent surface ?

It worked at 100, I tried with 60 and 30 and not good. Might be a bit extreme just to get that surface clean. But worked. Thank you

plans to incorporate optix denoise in final renders?

Hi. I am using lux 2.5 I would like to know if there are any plans to incorporate optix denoise in the final render. I believe it might perform better than ODIN?

Thank you

Re: Darkness in transparent surface ?

Thank you, I thought the path depth is just limiting the amount of bounces on the other three variables: Diffuse, glossy and specular. I did not know in itself will be a value that luxcore will compute, but more like an overall limit to the scene. So you did not tweak the other bounces, just the pat...

You could try to rule out some possibilities first:
For example, the path depth might be too low - to rule that out, set the path depths to something very high (like 100) and compare it with your current render.

Darkness in transparent surface ?

Hi. I am working with an acrylic material and I am wondering if the strong dark line is part of the accurate calculation or I might be missing some checkbox or properties to get rid of it.

Are these shadows working properly?

Hi. I am still working on the same scene. So few of you might recognize the render. I am still trying to find the right light and environment for the renders I want to create for my new furniture. grid.png I am really happy with the overall lighting. I might need to add a light close to the really d...

Re: luxcore 2.5 crashing constantly

Ok I will follow the recomendations. I do have the latest build and the latest nvidia drivers. The problem with running with cpu is the performance...I find luxcore a bit slow already with gpu. Somehow Blender becomes bit laggy when I jump to luxcore. Is the only downside of using it. I love it and ...
