In the scene you uploaded the scattering cube is disabled for final rendering.
After making it visible, it works:

It is possible in LuxCore to specify n,k numbers for metal directly, but this is not exposed in BlendLuxCore. It might actually be a good idea to do it, because even with wrong values, you can achieve interesting effects.
I added a "Custom n, k Values" mode to the fresnel texture:

You have probably not specified the camera exterior volume.
Set it in the camera properties (near the bottom) to tell LuxCore in which volume the rays from the camera should start.

Pixel filtering is now disabled by default, and forced disabled if either
a) bidir and denoising are combined
b) path and light tracing and denoising are combined

Thinking it would probably be a good solution to have an on/off checker (an option, next to present filter settings) This can already be done by setting the pixel filter to "None". But yes, could be made more standard with a checkbox "use filtering" and then all filter options aside from "None" in ...
