Re: Texture view in Blender viewport

Is it now possible in 2.82? I mean, like in cycles, not that hack from 2.79.

Re: Is this CGI or a photo?

Too much jpeg to tell. My neural network tells it may be either with roughly equal probability.

Re: Circumzenithal arc

Also, it's not circumzenithal arc, it's circumhorizontal.
Circumzenithal would be on the floor if glass lighted from it's side.

Re: Circumzenithal arc

Looks odd with the offset water to the glass. Was this effect intended or by accident? No, it wasn't intended. That's what happen when some genius in blender dev decide that it's good idea to select and move with same mouse button. In a piece of software where you can't even group objects. Ok, I mo...

Re: Atmosphere Simulation

Moon lighting is not realistic there, because there's (almost) no reflection from earth.
I made the earth to be a complete sphere.

Re: Atmosphere Simulation

With sun lamp set to "distant", light source no longer visible. Is it possible to make it visible, like "sun"?

I mean like cut-out of uv-sphere.

Maybe I'll do it myself.

Re: spectral rendering

To me it looks like the horizon line is wrong without volume, because the camera rays start in the incorrect volume, so they do not scatter regardless at which distance they hit the ocean surface. There might or might not be bugs in the volume system, but from what I can see this scene is not affec...

Re: Little Addon for optical lenses etc.

You can also make earth (and other spherical bodies) surface with this. I also think that option to make lens horizontal (with it's axis along z axis), square-shaped and square-divided would be great addition! With just a few clicks I made this disk section of earth, with 20 km diameter. Look, with ...
