Re: Two clear volumes in face contact

Hi, ... but I don't want this tiny gap. :D The two materials are really molded on each other (multi component molding), there is really no air gap. If you have a closer look to the models (mine and your's modified), there are no intersecting surfaces. I erased one of those faces in one of the bodies...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact

Hello Jan, Hello everyone, I appreciate your work and I really like the result of that laser beam. The difference between the your setup and my issue is that there is no IOR difference on the intermediate surface. Both volumes share the value of 1,492. Having equal IOR means that there is neither re...

Re: Two clear volumes in face contact

Hello, thanks for your feedback. I cannot reproduce your single layer without image shift with your blender file The test-scene shows my two bodies issue. The image with a single layer shows how it should like without errors. Having two volumes with exact the same IOR, no additional refraction shoul...

Two clear volumes in face contact

Hello all, I've some troubles with two bodies made from clear plastics that touch each other and share a surface. I was used to manage this situation with an intermediate surface with defined internal and external volumes. This example shows this situation and the rendering looks wrong. The reflecti...

Re: BlendLuxCore IES Omnidirectional Point Source Doesn't Match Luxcore Point Source in Intensity

Hi,

Interesting finding. Also the factor of 12.6 between the values is very close to 4*pi (full sphere solid angle). Is this coincidence?

Looking forward to the solution.

Re: Irradiance Contour Lines Calibration Problem

Hi, My bad, I was wrong. Sorry... Yes the illuminance should be 1lx in 1m distance (in your case only in plane's centre point). Of course the area of the unit sphere is this 4pi m^2... 4pi lm/4pi m^2 = 1 lx I'm still not convinced that the illuminance calculated in luxcore right, but I'll run some t...

Re: Irradiance Contour Lines Calibration Problem

Hello, the right photometry for that is: A point light source emits an intensity of 1 cd into the full space. The solid angle for full space is defined as 4*Pi. So this 1cd (lm/sr) multiplied with the solid angle of 4Pi is the amount of luminous flux that is emitted. Its around 12.57 lm (lumen). Now...

Re: cannot see reflection of light spot

Hello all,

This seems to be interesting topic? Do we have any final resolution or explanation?

With what kind of settings or scene restrictions might this scene becomes renderable and shows the spots as well as the beam images in the mirrors?

Thank you.

Well, I did.

Re: The flickerfree animation challenge

Hi,

another half a year is gone and with animations the "flicker" issue remains.
Some frames seem to become brighter than any others. I'm working with Metropolis and BiDir.

Thank you for your response.
