Re: nakaging capsule

yes, at least in archviz (which is a very big chunck of the rendering community if not the biggest?) it's very used and tendency goes up.

Re: nakaging capsule

That's the way Blender works and why Cycles also doesn't has this function yet, but I was speaking about the possible standalone py script Dade mentioned. It would remove all Blender's limitations, reduce memory footprint as you said and would be much easier to implement I thing.

Re: LuxCoreRender v2.0alpha2 released

Awesome, already tested, already lots of improvements!
To report the bugs, maybe a button more in the debug panel to save the log could help testers.

Re: first test with water

Particles are enabled :) I found 2 problems, they seem to be shift on Z when using emitter type. With hair, it makes an "list index out of range" error. The file is here: http://pasteall.org/blend/index.php?id=48776 Result with wireframe over to see the difference: particles render wirefra...

Re: nakaging capsule

BlendLuxCore could have already the potential do this: something like a special mode to export the scene at frame 0 than update only the camera with position of frame 0 to n. Or just automatically detect that the scene hasn't changed and update only the camera, a kind of optimized path for camera-o...

Re: Windows: Can't enable addon in latest Blender

So after asking on IRC, they will decide tomorrow. The rule is to not update libs, It is quite the ABC of software release. Of course, they know it and they are the first wanting 2.79a to be stable to concentrate on 2.8x but... but they have to balance it with all the bad publicity they got I guess...

Re: Windows: Can't enable addon in latest Blender

Would it be possible to build both a 3.5 and 3.6 version? I'm pretty sure 2.79a will use latest svn with all deps updated because of the vulnerabilities fuzz/scandal. It would help a lot to know if 2.79a is going to use Python 3.5 or 3.6. Isn't there someone in Blender Foundation that can answer th...

Re: first test with water

Is there a way to have get stable values, like a pre pass, running the pathtracing for 10sec, getting good enough values for the tonemapping and then save it in scene custom properties or so? This is basically like I implemented it. You start a rendering and after a warmup of 10 seconds it the opti...
