OpenCl error on windows

When I try to render with my gpu I get this error:
"OpenCL device selection string has the wrong length, must be 3 instead of 1"

I have tried to reinstall the addon (opencl supported) and it still doesn't work.

Looks like an interesting scene by the way, will you show it once it's finished?
This is how it looks right now with the real anisotropic shader.

Sure. It is an analog version of lux render (my first project with this render engine)

B.Y.O.B. wrote: Sun Jan 27, 2019 8:10 pm Looks like your mesh has some problems, or maybe the UV map is not correct?
Can't you just append the disk from my example scene into your project and use it?
I fixed the knob mesh now and it works great. Thanks!

Re: anisotropic metal UV problem

I think the U- and V-roughness in my example file were flipped. I fixed that and I get a result very similar to your Cycles render now. Does this work for you? File attached. The reflection works fine now but it is still unusable due to artifacts. Mesh is subdivided 4 times and subdividing it 5th t...

Re: anisotropic metal UV problem

The situation in my example file somewhat improves if I use 4 subdivisions instead of 2: This is a quick test render from my scene where I tried using a bump map for anisotropic material on the control knob. It looks ok but it could look a lot better if I could use the real anisotropic shader. http...

I actually don't have much experience with anisotropic materials in LuxCore.
Yes I hope he can because I'm working on a project and I'm curently stuck.

Re: anisotropic metal UV problem

LuxCore requires a different UV map, you need something like this: I tried to use every possible UV unwarping I could but the result still looks very different from the reference image or the image I rendered in cycles. https://i.ibb.co/DVXFnd1/picture.png You can see some weird blocky reflection a...

Thanks but I would like to get the result on the right side of the picture I rendered in cycles.

I want to get this result but I cant get the anisotropic shader to work.
I have already unwarped the object but the reflections are still not working right.
