Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

95 watts working around the clock - what kind of equipment are we talking about? What is consuming this amount of energy? We will compare the cost of work. 20 Euro - this is the cost of rendering Cycles, 500 samples, 500 frames, on a very cheap rendering farm. Monthly work around the clock 4 cores R...

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

Found another example of this farm.
38 renders in 4K resolution, in a few clicks, with only Intel i3 + Nvidia 740M

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

A long time ago, when Luxcore 2.0 first came out, when this farm was running, I rendered a mind-blowing 360-degree frame for VR in 8K resolution on it. And everything worked out!
The work involved 20 computers, active users at that time. There were trees, grass, buildings, lights in the frame.

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

the principle of operation of the distributed computing render farm itself: This is very similar to torrent download. But instead of distributing files, each computer gives away a piece of its power. The key word here is particle. You should not completely allocate all the resources of your computer...

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

It will be possible to safely create animation projects where each frame takes 10 minutes, and 30, even more. It will become a reality. High-quality overview animation of the interior? Oh sure. Bidir's most beautiful animation light? Yes. A complex 9K image? Yes. Any task - yes. This is an important...

Re: Lux it! RenderFarm (analogue of Sheepit for Luxcore)

The developer of a distributed render farm supporting Luxcore 2.0 replied: "The stimulus is needed, not material." https://i.imgur.com/IYP0v0s.png He has a completely ready-made analogue of Sheppit with Luxcore support. Several years ago, when the project was in working order, I rendered o...
