Re: cancel rendering
I know what you're talking about. Or at least, I used to... :? I remember the GPU rendering used to take a few seconds to stop the 'batch' that it was working on (I think it even used to print a message like, "Waiting for render threads to terminate" or some such). The last time I noticed ...

Re: OIDN new version Out
2. I removed that files which you posted on your screenshots. Make sure you remove only those files. There are a bunch of other files in there too, and they're all required to be there. Also, make sure Blender is closed when you try to remove those files because you cannot delete them if they are i...

Re: Scene translation take forever or crash with big textures
This is my experience. Unfortunately, I had to upload it to Drive as it was too large for the forum :( https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ul3igyE7gs2LpjdlSCnYGIcI_e1IuRut/view?usp=sharing (14.3MB) The white screen is because I click on the blender when it is unresponsive, also the blender will crash a...

Re: Scene translation take forever or crash with big textures
Did you try 16K or any big hdri, because with the small HDRI is not going to happen, and did the interactive render getting slow when you change the game or other parameters? Yes, I tried with both hansaplatz_16k.hdr (390MB) and spiaggia_di_mondello_16k.hdr (358MB). And yes, Blender became unrespon...

Re: Water Caustics
I started a new file and I did the same setup, but this time, it´s not working... From what I can tell, viewport renders do not use photons from the PhotonGI cache. To see them, you need to press F12 and do a full render. Click under Persistence the checkbox Compute and save and choose a file path ...

Re: Scene translation take forever or crash with big textures
Step to reproduce the issue. 1- Select LuxCore as the renderer 2- Select any 16K/bigger HDRI as an environment map 3- Try to change the ENV gamma Issues: First, changing parameters is taken too much time compared to other renderers with the exact same steps. Second, After a few try blender/3dsmax/L...

Re: Water Caustics
Other render engines call "cache" something that stores light to reuse in animations, for example. That is also true of LuxCore. The box at the bottom under Persistence ( Compute and save ) does that. Check that box. Once you have your parameters how you like it, un-check it. The next tim...

Re: Water Caustics
 You can enable the Caustics Light PhotonGI Cache to see caustics through reflections and refractions (Specular-Diffuse-Specular paths). You can tweak the parameters depending on what kind of clarity you want. The default settings were a little blurry, so with some small adjustments, I got a f...
