I was keeping up with the commits and it was a big rabbit hole indeed

Re: Adaptive sampling improvements

to me this looks like noise is picked up ok, but there are areas that are not noisy, but more like almost not even sampled/completely black. I don't what setting you were using for step size and warmup but what is happening is that the metric is considering that after ( warmup+step ) samples, this ...

Re: Adaptive sampling improvements

hm, so in a simple, box and sky scenario this doesn't happen... I'm still trying to find out what is going on. 01.jpg that weird pattern comes from env.cache (I really don't like env cache) Yeah, I've tried something like that and it didn't reproduce the issue The BlendLuxCore you're using had a bu...

Re: Adaptive sampling improvements

Very weird.

Does it happen if it is a simple box with a hole?
Happens with both sky and hdri?

Re: LuxMark absolute newbie needs help

Yes, some mechanical issue like this could have happened, altough it doesn't seem that likely. These cards do not have many moving parts.

But I think you'll have to physically inspect you card to be sure of that. Maybe shaking it to see if there is anything loose there?

Re: LuxMark absolute newbie needs help

Hi,

I would bet that if the card was damaged you would not even be able to boot the computer with it, or it would not be recognized.

By the results, both cards appear to be working as intended, do you see any artifacts or somthing like that?

I am having a hard time reproducing that. Everytime I put any visible sky, it works as intended and it gets very few samples.
Would you be able to provide a scene that shows the issue?

Re: Adaptive sampling improvements

Sorry for the dumb question. With this film pipeline, could we have the same color results between blender output and network rendering output? At the moment, it seems that Blender applies something that changes colors and the output are different. Could your develop solve this issue? Or am I compl...

Thanks for testing!

I will try to replicate that. Of you have some scene that shows up the issue, feel free to share.

Re: Adaptive sampling improvements

I've fixed a bug in the film pipeline selection and implemented a hard coded extra image pipeline on BlendLuxCore (with a big helping hand from B.Y.O.B) Would you be able to test to see if the adaptiveness is working better now? Notes: Please disable Blender's color management (Filmic), so what you ...
