Re: LuxBlend 2.1 alpha 1 - can't enable addon

Hi,

Yes, I've tried the non-OCL version as well, without any success.
Tested also to download and install (copy) from github the OCL and non-OCL version.
Could you tell me a source of LuxMark please?

I would like to contiune testing as suggested.

Thank you.

Re: LuxBlend 2.1 alpha 1 - can't enable addon

Hi,

I'm using the machine that shows this issue in remote desktop mode only.
Might that be somehow the root cause of this issue?

how to interpret the absorption depth value

Hi, I'm still not sure how to interpret the absorption depth value inside the volume definition. The attached blend file shows 2 cubes. Both have the same size (10mm edge length). The volume description that is used is "Color R1 G0 B0" and depth at 1mm. Volume_absorption.blend Volume_absor...

Re: LuxBlend 2.1 alpha 1 - can't enable addon

Hi,

I read that thread and I've installed the redistributables.
Also the required redistributables are installed as described in the related thread.
My issue seems to be somehow different.

LuxBlend 2.1 alpha 1 - can't enable addon

Hello, I've tried to update to LucBlend 2.1 alpha 1. Tested the Blender internal update procedure without any success. Tested also to download and install (copy) from github the OCL and non-OCL version. Also the required redistributables are installed as described in the related thread. The error me...

Sharp result with smooth shader

Hi, I'm trying to create a "moon-like" landscape. Inside Blender the surface is nice smooth shaded: Blender_appearance.JPG The rendered image shows very sharp edges - exactly like the flat shaded edges: the_moon.jpg I guess I'm doing something wrong - but I dont know what: This is my examp...

Re: LuxCore v2.1 proposed features

Hi, would you mind to integrate "tabulated data" in volume description? I would like to use it for IOR over wavelength (dispersion) and volume absortion coefficient over wavelenght (color). Two more things that I would like to put into that discussion. What do you think about a shader mode...

Re: Led strip

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this input.
Unfortunately I can't see anything... it's by far to little for me.

Do you have a kind of datasheet of the strip that was modelled. If possible an English one. My kyrillian- letter knowledge is really bad. Sorry.

Re: Lit up tests

Hi, yes, I was talking about that... If the light emitting surface is completly surrounded by the same medium it should emit light in a correct way no matter what's the surface normal pointing to. The glass node could also pick it's refractive index from internal volume like it always does. The only...

Re: Working with light groups

Hi,
You're talking about lightgroups that have lights, but are disabled at render start and still get sampled.
yes, you're right. Do you think there might be an option in luxblend to disable lightgroups for rendering in near future?
