Re: LuxCoreRender v2.4

Of course, what would you do if you sell this stuff?
Rendering and Video Editing (Blender does both) are the number one reason to use CPU's.
In Neural Networks (Deep Learning) i guess NVIDIA has an large advantage.

Amazing realistic. The coloured smoke is a interesting highligt.
At the top of the Gem i would had expected a small reflection of something not just a white vertex.

Re: 3D animation walkthrough.

In the first video i think the camera turns a bit too fast so the movement is not really smooth.
The second video with the house is perfectly smooth.

Re: Angular roughness/Angular glossiness

The whole issue could be just a checkmark behind roughness-slider.
If you check it then the system will calculate a exponential curve from roughness to zero and maps it on the angle of the camera.
This would be the easiest solution. But of course other solutions may have more possibilities.

Re: LUXCorerender beta 2.4 refusing to install in blender 2.83 official build

My Luxcore was already installed when i updated Blender to 2.83.3 and it works without problems.
Also the Online Library works.

The Firefly Question

There seem to be Scenes, where the Fireflies do not go away, no matter how many Samples you throw on them.
The Denoiser removes them later - yes. But ... are there some common Tricks how to avoid them or remove them?

Example.

Luxcore "Requires official Blender 2.80, 2.81 or 2.82"?

The Luxcore WEB-Site is a bit misleading. It says "Requires official Blender 2.80, 2.81 or 2.82". The current stable Blender version is 2.83.3 LTS. Maybe you can make it easy and write "requires the current stable Blender version". The way it is, People may think they have to dow...
