Re: Volumetric Light and Dispersion
Really interesting, but I don' t understand why there is a missing reflection on the sphere maybe you used a small depth?Or needed more samples?
the same about the weird light stripes. Those seem to appear out of nowhere? Or there might be a light I'm missing.
Edit: fixed colors

Re: Optic Fiber
I probably setup wrong the eye depth to 6 but in the wiki it says: "If your scene contains mostly direct lighting, you may be able get a small speed boost without any detrimental effects by setting this lower than the eye depth". And I wanted to get light to bounce at the glass and then sc...

Re: Optic Fiber
This looks interesting. I played around with your scene, really liked the fast resolving reflections that you get around the optic fibers tips.

Optic Fiber
I wondered if creating optic fibers (without faking them) in luxcore was possible. Then I used the ivy gen addon, converted it to mesh, added a plane with emmision material and added a bool modifier to it. Tuned light paths to 256. The ground is a 99% black material, so the camera views the scattere...

Re: Improve workstation responsiveness
GPUs accept some data and occupy all their cores till processing is finished, then they pick next workload... So probably its not possible to use 1 GPU for 2 tasks... It might be if you use smaller tile sizes, less samples (= gpus workload will be broken to smaller sizes), so GPU can search for next...

CO2 laser!
A while ago, I tried recreating a CO2 laser. The laser beam is created from 479 laser lights that are inside the CO2 volume. Yes 479 (+ 1 regular plane emitter, just for some more ambient light) are a lot of lights. I did this cuz I thought it would make the tube glow kinda like a real CO2 laser, wh...

SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RADEON RX 570 seems to have 4GB (and maybe it can allocate 4GB more from system's RAM) source=> https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/s ... -570.b4445
(systems ram is very slow compared to gpus internal memory)

Re: Sorceress
Looks awesome!!! It looks like a cinematic from a triple A game. Love how the red cape glows at it's end, lighting setup + orange/blue contrast, and the petals just add to the awesomeness. I disliked a bit, the hair, I would love some (slightly-just a little bit) windy hair sim(in reality petals fly...
