Curtain shader
How should I approach making curtain shader in luxcore, seems both matte translucent and glossy translucent don't let sunlight through at all.. why?

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
Wow the difference is really big, but I do see some artifacting around the area of direct sun exposure, looks a lot like DLCS artifacting actually.

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
Will this cache go through glass or translucent materials? Can I benefit from this when I have huge curtain covering windows?

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
I wonder what is bigger problem od bidir than the fact that you would have to spend ages to get a single frame that is pretty much indifferent to pathtracing done on gpu within minutes... The answer was there, but you elegantly left it off from the quote: ;) The problem with BiDir is not so much la...

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
This method is very similar to a guided method. It "guides" only for env. light sources but it could "guides" for any kind of incoming light (direct and indirect). However it must be clear that it is pretty much "Path+GPU+PhotonGI" Vs "BiDir+CPU+Guided sampling&qu...

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
From experience, IMHO, BiDir Spectral engines are the future of quality renderings. For fast GPU renderings applying Unity or Unreal is advised. With latest versions they had advanced to RT GI, better AA with hardly any visually noticeable difference between those and this latest biased GI LuxCore2...
