bump mapping break-ups
Sometimes bump mapping works even if it's stronger, sometimes it starts doing weird things in different lighting setups... Main point is that while bump mapping in luxcore can really look great, it is extremely easy to break the whole shading with it, even low values. In this case, object edges are ...

Re: shadow terminator
Subdivision surface wouldn't help? it's a cad tesselated model, you can't subdivide those, also subdivision doesn't help much with stronger bump mapping. On top of all that I will probably have to use some sharper lighting at some point and that will definitely look much worse. This needs to be fix...

Re: Far end of shadow noise
I can reproduce the problem but I can not see any error on our side. I will upgrade the binaries to the latest Oidn version than, if the problem is still there, I will report behavior to Intel. Good, by the way, this can also happen in a more complex environment.. It always kinda seems related to v...

Re: Disney BRDF material
is it brdf or bsdf if it has subsurface? I also wonder what is this approximated subsurfacing.
Do you plan to build future work on it? Adding translucency, thin film layer, will you turn this into a monster ubermaterial for 2.3? I hope it renders fast too...

Re: Env. Light Visibility Cache
Latest daily for me still doesn't work with flatcolor, maybe something has to be changed also on blendluxcore side? Can someone else try it out?
EDIT: it kinda seems it works on linux build...
