emission ruins photon cache
To be more specific: I have a large Background plane that I want to appear as background (in render) not affecting anything but camera. Right now I can disable shadows and use emission on the plane, I can also disable "use photonGI cache". However this will still generate pgi entries and s...

holdout collection override
Since there is now holdout material option in luxcore, can we get this button working? hldt.jpg It's an override in blender to make whole collection into a holdout. I thought disney doesn't show the problem (it doesn't in cycles at least) I think bidir in luxcore a...

dark gradients
I don't know for sure, but this doesnt look normal to me. roughness at 1 1.jpg roughness at 0.8 0p8.jpg file shd_error_lux.blend What I don't understand is the dark gradient near corners, it only appears with medium-high roughness and it makes walls appear floating. in cycles's principled shader the...

Re: Cycle X (and OpenCL)
Well... Nvidia will actively look for devs doing rendering using their tech and they will actively support them. We've seen this few times, even cycles got optix support done by nvidia person and they also have a lot of tools and branches for unreal engine and they support game devs and assist to us...

Re: Dark rough glass
If disney material in luxcore had multiscatter ggx this problem should be solved, unless there is some other trickery going on.

Even lightmap baking can give real-time feedback and once saved can be reused
