careful, this is a scam!
The post is an exact copy of what racleborg quoted.

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

If it were, one could still manually place a larger enclosing volume if desired But this would make the bounding sphere larger as well and you gain nothing. No actually that was my point. As the bounding sphere is basically the smallest possible volume that encloses everything. You can then make it...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

Sky/HDR/Distant/etc. are called infinite light sources for a good reason. Makes sense as an explanation for what we observed. But let me ask this: Is there any reason it is not placed on the bounding sphere like the sun-lamp? If it were, one could still manually place a larger enclosing volume if d...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

Nope because sun light definition include only the direction, not the position, in LuxCore SDL. However, for completeness, it is the bounding sphere of the scene and the camera position. Ok thanks for the clarification. I followed this up a bit more with a fresh and simpler setup consisting only of...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

I think the sun is placed on a bounding sphere that encloses all meshes in the scene, plus some margin. Look into the sun lamp code to see how it is calculated exactly. So far I partially found what you described. However, it is difficult to track all functions when you are new to the code ;) In an...

Re: Tile by tile Rendering

Reading this, I am not sure if everyone is talking about the same sort of tiling... It sounds to me as if the luxcore-tiling uses dynamic sampling conditions for each tile? As far as I am aware, cycles just splits the rendering into segments, but otherwise renders the same. The (quite significant) p...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

Hi both, Lot of information to catch for me... thanks for your frequent replies. Nice to get example scences from which to learn ;) Sorry for the troubles the blend file caused. I'm afraid all the adding and removing of faces damaged the data quality. I'll set it up new. I don't think it is "i...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

This makes me think of another aspect of this. In a previous post i wrote: - In any case, given that beam visibility exists in nature with one (pretty) homogeneous world voume, you might try to lower the scattering scale even further. You should also combine this with a forward scattering asymmetry ...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

The half window beam happens where the rays coming from the sun through the window hit the second windows inside the room. Now at this point I am not sure anymore how to explain everything, due to a lack of knowledge of the source code. Rememeber that in a BiDir path tracer, rays are initiated at bo...

Re: Want to have a diffuse air inside a room and clear air outside

Here, I roughly set it up and got this result: dustairtest.png In the blend file, you will notice I changed your windows to make them a full body again, with the two different face-materials as I mentioned. It is just for demonstration though, you can delete the "glas2" material to get the...
