Soft Pad Chair
Soft pad chair by Ray & Charles Eeames, produced by herman miller. It's a conversion from my behance project originally made usign cycles here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/72799495/Herman-Miller-FREE-3D-model Originally using cycles cause: 1. no luxcore in 2.8 yet: I'm not going back from co...

Re: Micro displacement
Friends need help, how to apply micro displacemen texture in luxcore. There is no support (yet) for "real" micro-displacement in LuxCore but normal mapping can often achieve a quite similar result  Yes if you render 640x480 or the Brick wall you try to render is very far away from ca...

Re: About shadows and emission
Not doable currently and every workaround is just painfuly slow and impractical.
However, I added this and other Ray visibility options per object as feature request on github. So hopefuly someday it willl be implemented as for archviz purposes it is super important.

Re: High GPU memory
It's actually pretty cool how close cycles and luxcore got. Not too long Ago luxcore was way worse with memory consumption. But yes, octane seems to be quite a bit more optimized. But octane Also has no fallback option Once you run out of Vram, it's gpu or use another renderer. Both cycles and luxco...

Ok, so I got it, and it's the denoiser from Declan Russel just made into addon. ... A kind soul would do like this: troopy28/OptiX-Denoiser-for-Blender (@ GitHub) then continue or better, start in denoiser specific thread... (i get you're passionate ;) but please, just move on - let us stay on topi...

Re: Smoke
lovely... Way back I did some sims with realwflow and also fumefx and krakatoa. I remember that rendertime was always a fraction of the time the simulation took. Is this simulated inside blender? I know there are some tools but since forever I always consider simulating fluids very slow and it scare...

Re: CGI tech news box
Ok, so I got it, and it's the denoiser from Declan Russel just made into addon. [...] It does simplify my workflow with luxcore a lot though since it's now just a single button in uv/image editor to get nice denoising so that's great! This is more or less what I had in mind when I mentioned the con...
