Re: Direct Light Sampling Cache errors
Hope this helps ;) DLSC_error-buggySkyGround.jpg 1. It only happens with the Sky. 2. It gets more prominent with 'Use Ground Color' . 3. Goes away when Ground Color is set to Black, while changing Ground Albedo Color results are fine (w/o splotches). Edit: Missing description for Albedo versions: ab...

Re: Distorted window
^ Yup, most simple is true. ;) BTW This is an older post. Was sitting in the back... now posted here, so to remind me - what for untrained eye seems, looks easy to make or is almost unnoticeable, almost invisible, is a work of a master. For animations here , done in Feb. 2017, first Blender experimental 2.77 with Cycles denoiser was used - 80 samples @ 1080p. And now, patch D3889 which "... extends the denoiser to support using multiple input frames in order to denoise one frame & can significantly reduce noise and flicker...

Re: rayswitch
Would love it , but... this is what i got from Dade:
"No and it is unlikely it will ever been supported (i.e. it is very not physically based)."
So much can be done and problems solved just by having this switch.
