Backface diffuse texture
Glossy translucent material has capability to be rendered doublesided, but why there is no slot for back face diffuse color? For example leaves, they have have quite different texture on either sides, but I canonly controll roughness and specular, no other diffuse slot.

Re: Denoiser clamps render
Another example of denoiser calmping render. Denoiser doesn't leave any values over 1 and therefore all information in highlights is lost, even if the values don't go over 1, its still destroys that information. It seems like denoiser outputs 8 bit image, not 16 bit float. In attached example on upp...

Ava (Character)
Did some character rendering after work. Didn't change the model, but It went through substance painter for some texture refinement. I love how Lux does sss with volume setup. I used homogenous volume for skin, horns and eyes, don't really know if eyes should have sss, but it was very subtle anyway....

Re: Fstorm's GeoPattern
You would probably need something like a deformation cage/lattice? I have almost no technical knowledge about how something works in 3D, therefore I have no clue how, however on their website it says: VrayPattern technology is fundamentally different from the technologies that are used in scatterin...

Re: Fstorm's GeoPattern
I don't think we can achieve this kind of results within blender. V-ray has something similar - https://rendering.ru/vraypattern.html
It seems that it also morphs inserted mesh according to surface, like the chair example.

Fstorm's GeoPattern
An awesome feature. I haven't tried it out yet, but results look amazing, would be awesome to achieve something similar in blender.

Lux in ''VFX''
Here is a photo edit I was working on. I used LuxCore to render wings and headband. Rendering fur was quite fun, but it was much slower than I expected. I guess I'm just used to rendering really lightweight stuff. I hope it's okay to post something like this.

Asking this question from developer is kind of like asking which baby is yours

LuxCore and ProRender
Just a quick test between two free render engines. Both on GPU and approximately 1 min 15 sec render time (I used time halt), no denoise. Used same HDR, filmic blender with base contrast, no post editing. For trunk I used just white diffuse, for leaves glossy shader. Can you guess which picture is f...

RGB masks
Any ideas how to render RGB mask for using in compositing? I tried material id, but the edge is not antialised and when exported I got weird values (maybe I used wrong settings to export). Also using material id pass outside blender is difficult. RGB mask would be nice addition, but right now I could...
